The use of renewable energy sources is becoming more and more popular in Poland. Both photovoltaic installations, as well as innovative systems for heating rooms and preparing domestic hot water based on thermal energy from the ground, water or air, i.e. a heat pump, are very popular. However, the purchase and installation of a heat pump is a considerable expense, which is why many investors are discouraged from this type of solution. Completely unnecessary! The costs of investing in a heat pump can be significantly reduced by using subsidies from government programs. What financial tools can you use? Here is the current list!
Heat pumps - advantages
The growing sales of heat pumps in recent years are due to the increase in the ecological awareness of the society, increases in gas prices, as well as the increase in the level of knowledge about the benefits of installing a heat pump as a heating system and domestic hot water preparation. A heat pump is a multifunctional device that can not only provide warmth in the house, but also cool rooms on hot summer days. It is an ecological device that does not contribute to the emission of harmful greenhouse gases, as well as efficient and cheap to operate - as much as 75% of the energy needed to power the heat pump comes from natural resources, which are also free. As a result, investors gain real savings for many years, because the heat pump is a device known for its long service life (it can work flawlessly up to 50 years). The heat pump is a safe, comfortable and fully automated system. Perfect for both new and old buildings.
The increase in popularity of heat pumps is also due to the appearance of many programs that offer various ways of financing the purchase and installation of heat pumps. Thus, the cost of the investment is significantly reduced, the return is faster, and its profitability increases.
Co-financing for the 2022 heat pump - what changes?
The most popular program that beneficiaries can use when replacing a heat source in their home with a heat pump is currently the Clean Air program. Funds from it may be allocated to thermo-modernization projects, including Purchase and installation of a heat pump. The amount of the subsidy is closely related to the income obtained. In the case of the Clean Air program, several changes were made in 2022. First of all, financial support is no longer granted in the case of investments in coal boilers. The income threshold was also raised entitling to benefit from the increased level of financing (up to PLN 2,189 per month in the case of one-person households and PLN 1,564 per person in the case of multi-person households) and a third part of the program was introduced aimed at the least wealthy.
The Clean Air program was aimed at replacing the heat source, but it did not apply to new houses. In order to supplement it, a new program has been created - Moje Warm, from which you can obtain funding for the purchase and installation of a heat pump in new houses with a higher energy standard. Depending on the type of heat pump used, the amount of the subsidy will be PLN 7,000. PLN (air heat pump) or 21 thousand. PLN (ground heat pump), up to 30% of eligible investment costs. The budget of the program is PLN 600 ml, which comes from the Modernization Fund.
