Piktogram Hymon - Ikona

Combine sunlight, modern technology, and smart energy management. See how to create a home that generates, stores, and uses its own energy-regardless of rising electricity prices and changes in regulations.

Benefits

  • Lower energy bills
  • Environmental benefits and a smaller carbon footprint
  • Energy independence and security
  • Higher property value

How does the system work? - Integrated energy in your home

How much electricity does a photovoltaic system generate?

Average Annual Energy Production in Poland: How Much Electricity Does a Photovoltaic System Generate?

PV System CapacitySouthern Poland (kWh/year)Central Poland (kWh/year)Northern Poland (kWh/year)
6 kWp660060005400
8 kWp880080007200
10 kWp11000100009000
12 kWp132001200010800

Note: Actual production depends on the roof pitch, orientation relative to the cardinal directions, shading, and the efficiency of the equipment used.

Why is it a good idea to combine these three technologies?

✔ Photovoltaics - free energy from the sun.

✔ Heat pump - one of the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly sources of heating.

✔ Energy storage - allows you to use your own energy in the evenings and during winter too.

The result? A system like this can provide up to 70–90% energy independence over the course of a year.

Annual energy consumption6800 kWh
Heating and domestic hot water (heat pump)4200 kWh
Other consumption (household appliances, lighting, etc.)2600 kWh
PV power generation10000 kWh
Self-consumption without storage~30% (3000 kWh)
Self-consumption with storage~75% (7500 kWh)
Energy fed into the grid2500 kWh
Electricity purchased from the grid1700 kWh
Estimated annual savings~3800zł

Note: The information provided is an estimate. It depends on the energy efficiency of your home, your individual energy tariffs and your energy usage patterns. If you would like a personalised calculation for your property, please request a free analysis using the form below.

Users of devices integrated into a comprehensive energy system often report a reduction in their electricity bills of around 50-70 per cent compared with their bills before the installation of the photovoltaic system, energy storage and heat pump (in a well-insulated building).

How much does the complete system cost?

Estimated gross costs including installation (2026)

If cost savings and a quick return on investment are important to the customer, they may opt for solutions within a specific budget, without additional automation.

If the main selection criterion is the highest possible level of technological sophistication of the equipment, the price may be at the upper end of the range or exceed it - the figures below are indicative.

ElementCost estimates
10 kWp PV system28000 - 38000 zł
Heat pump (air-to-water) 8–10 kW30000 - 45000 zł
10kWh energy storage system20000 - 28000 zł
Installation8000 - 12000 zł
Total cost of the investment~86000 - 123000 zł

Return on investment - is it worth it?

At current energy prices, the investment pays for itself more and more quickly.

It is worth considering the costs over the course of the system’s 20–25-year lifespan.

Approximate specifications

  • Annual savings: approximately 3500-4000 zł
  • Estimated payback period: approximately 7-10 years
  • System lifespan: 20-25 years

Once the investment has been paid off, you can enjoy the energy generated by your own home for years to come, significantly reducing your running costs.

The cost of purchasing a complete energy system can be significantly reduced thanks to available support schemes, such as ‘Mój Prąd’, ‘Czyste Powietrze’, the thermal modernisation tax relief and local council schemes.

Depending on the scale of the investment and whether the programme’s conditions are met, the actual support could range from a few to as many as several tens of thousands of zlotys. This means not only a lower initial cost, but also a faster return on investment - in many cases by as much as 2-4 years.

It is worth bearing in mind that the forms of funding available change with each new round of the programmes; therefore, before starting an investment, it is advisable to seek the assistance of an adviser who can help you select solutions eligible for support and guide you through the entire process of obtaining a grant.

At Hymon, we not only help you choose the best energy system, but also review the available funding schemes and prepare the necessary documentation, making your investment even more cost-effective.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can solar panels, a heat pump and energy storage work together?

Yes. This is currently one of the most efficient solutions for detached houses. All the systems work together, increasing the use of self-generated energy and reducing consumption from the grid.

Is energy storage necessary if I have a heat pump?

It is not compulsory, but it significantly increases self-consumption of energy from the solar panels. This allows the heat pump to run more often on energy generated by your own system.

Does such a system also work in winter?

Yes. Energy production from the panels is lower at that time, but the heat pump still heats the building efficiently, and the energy storage system allows for better use of the energy generated during the day.

What happens when there is no sun and the stored energy runs out?

The system will automatically draw energy from the electricity grid. The entire process takes place without any action required from the user.

Can I expand the system in the future?

Yes. Most modern installations allow for expansion with additional energy storage modules, further photovoltaic panels, an electric car charger or a smart energy management system.
